Down South...

I hear people talking about what a waste of time it is to travel south, let's say to an Island - Dominican, Cuba, Turks, etc during the summer time. Indeed it is pretty warm up here, temps reaching into the high 80's plus the humidex, why would you want to travel down there rather than enjoy the temps at home?

Then I think - why are you judging your "vacation" solely on temperature? I can tell you that when I went to Aruba, the wind is always blowing, making it very comfortable. In the Dominican, Puerto Plata, you have a nice breeze from the Atlantic Ocean and while it might be humid, you have pools and the ocean to cool off. It is really no different in temps except that it does not cool down as much during the evening. Yes, A/C is a must.

But the point is, your on vacation. All-inclusive, free food, drinks, entertainment, relaxation.

And consider this - if people are in the mindset that it's just as warm up here so don't bother going south? Sure. Now, look at package prices......change your mind?
